Membership
Categories
There are three levels of membership categories.
- Constituent members
- National Associations representing the interests of the insureds
of industry enjoying legal status, as well as individual persons
acting of actual groups representing the same interest.
- The constituent members are requested to pay a full membership
due.
- The constituent members of a same country are together entitled
to a certain number of votes.
- Adherent Members
- National Groups representing the interests of the insureds of
industry enjoying legal status as well as individual persons of
actual groups representing the same interests in the absence of
a Constituent Member to represent such interests*.
- They pay a reduced membership due.
- Adherent Members of a same country are together entitled to
one advisory vote.
* When a National Risk Management Association exists in
the country of the individual applicants, they must apply to the Constituent
Member. This rule is also applicable for applicants already members of
a Risk Management Association not Constituent member of FERMA.
- Honorary member
- Any individual person, who has, following advice of the Board,
render remarkable services to the benefit of the association.
- This quality is personal, non transferable and doesn't give
right to vote or duties of membership like the other categories
of members.
