Activities
- Co-ordinating the best practice guidelines
and approach to risk management throughout Europe
- Addressing issues that are exclusively related to the European
Union including where appropriate making representations to the
European Commission
- Surveys for the benefit of members on issues which affect their
role as professional risk managers (Risk
Management : an Assessment of European Practices - 2004)
- Liaison with other world-wide risk management
associations including the representation of FERMA views and interests.
This includes creation of links with organisations in Australia, Africa,
India, North and South America and the Far East.
- The bi-annual FORUM held at a different
European location in October every second year for the whole of the
European risk management community
- Ad-hoc seminars on "hot" issues, primarily
for professional development of members
- Development of specific risk management issues through Working Groups
- Networking and benchmarking
